District Mic is a directory of open mic events in the DMV. Hosts list their events. Attendees find them. Keep it real and keep it community-first.

Anyone can browse District Mic without an account.

To list events as a host, you need an Instagram Business or Creator account. Personal Instagram accounts are not supported. By logging in, you confirm that you have the rights to list the events you're adding and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

When you list an event on District Mic, you're telling the community it's real. That means:

• The event actually happens, or happened, at the time and place you list
• You'll update or remove the listing if the event changes or ends
• You won't create fake, misleading, or duplicate listings to game the platform
• You won't use District Mic to harass, spam, or deceive the community
• You have permission to hold events at the venues you list

Event listings, descriptions, and details are created by hosts. District Mic doesn't verify every listing. If something looks wrong, the community can flag it using the report system.

We reserve the right to remove any listing or account that we determine is fake, harmful, misleading, or otherwise bad for the community.

District Mic has a community-driven reputation system where attendees and hosts can report issues or endorse events. Reports and endorsements are weighted and expire after 60 days. Warning banners only appear when a meaningful threshold of reports is reached.

You're responsible for your account. Don't share it. Keep your ownership code safe if you generate one — it's the only way to recover access if you lose your Instagram account.

District Mic is provided as-is. Always confirm event details directly with the host before showing up. We're not liable for events that are cancelled, moved, or misrepresented. District Mic is a directory, not an event organizer.

We'll update the date at the top of this page if we change anything meaningful. Continued use of District Mic after changes means you accept the updated terms.
